Common applications
Mangasol® is a manganese sulphate solution ideal for correcting or preventing manganese deficiency in grain and horticultural crops, pastures and vines.
It can be applied:
- as a foliar spray (recommended)
- directly to the soil without further dilution, however if applied to the soil, manganese can be rapidly converted to forms unavailable to plants
- alone or mixed with other fertilisers*
- fertigated through irrigation systems.
Use at low rates in high volume sprays. Apply to new growth or early in the life of the crop.
In cereals, dilute Mangasol with at least 75 litres of water before foliar spraying and apply three to five weeks after emergence.
There are limits to the amount of Mangasol that can be applied in foliar sprays without burning the leaves. Crops and varieties vary in their susceptibility to leaf burn.
For more information on using Mangasol in specific crops, see the Crop Guides section.
Benefits
- Liquid fertilisers like Mangasol can distribute nutrients more evenly than solid fertilisers, particularly when low rates are used.
- Mangasol can be metered precisely for variable rate applications.
- Pumps are used to transfer Mangasol, so there is no need for manual lifting, augers or forklifts.
- There is no dust or downtime in waiting for solid products to dissolve.
- It can be stored in cost-effective heavy duty poly tanks.
- It does not deteriorate in storage, and can be stored from year to year if required.
- Mangasol can be blended with other EASY Liquids® fertilisers for alternative nutrient concentrations.
- Mangasol offers flexibility in application. It can be injected into the soil, sprayed on to the soil, applied using boomsprays with dribble bars or streaming nozzles, and even foliar sprayed or fertigated if required.
