2011 Trials and Compatibilities
Post-emergent cereal agronomy with Easy N
Objective: Syngenta chemistry applied with Easy N in various situations.
CROP: Wheat (Scout) 80 kg/ha, Barley (Scope) 75 kg/ha), Fertiliser MAP 100 kg/ha, Verge 200 mL/100 kg/ha.
Treatments:
| No. | Growth Stage | Chemical | Adigor | Easy N rate (L/ha) | Nozzle Selection |
| BLOCK 1 (Northern) | |||||
| 1 | DC15 | Axial | Yes | 50 | SAI |
| 2 | DC15 | Axial | Yes | 100 | SAI |
| 3 | DC15 | Axial | No | 50 | SAI |
| 4 | DC15 | Axial | No | 100 | SAI |
| 5 | DC15 | Axial | Yes | - | SAI |
| 6 | DC15 | 100L | SAI | ||
| 7 | DC31/32 | Axial | Yes | 50 | SAI |
| 8 | DC31/32 | Axial | Yes | 100 | SAI |
| 9 | DC31/32 | Axial | No | 50 | SAI |
| 10 | DC31/32 | Axial | No | 100 | SAI |
Summary
- The additional of Easy N with Axial & adigor did not control ryegrass as well as the chemical and adjuvant application by itself (Treatments 1 and 2 V treatment 5).
- The addition of Easy N (100L/ha), axial and adjuvant showed the greatest leaf burn (treatment 2)
- Where the spray adjuvant was left out ryegrass control was very poor and this practice should not be considered.
- Wild oat control appeared similar across all treatments (except treatment 6 – no chemical and adjuvant)
